ASHRAM showcases Ethno-Electronic music from the Indian subcontinent. Started in 2009, the Sound of ASHRAM features an exchange of dialogue between urban experimental electronic music and traditional folk tunes from across India and beyond. A typical Ashram concert is a showcase of traditional folk tunes from different parts of India, fused with modern Electronic grooves - texture - melody. A true representative sound of modern India, where tradition and modernism co-exist hand in hand.
